Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2010 winner Maria Venus Raj is out.

Venus Raj was dethroned from her crown as Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2010 by Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc (BPCI) because of the issue of her citizenship.  Last March 6 she was crowned as one of the most beautiful women in the Philippine and won the crown in Araneta Coliseum

According to Jenny Inocencio Marcial, Corporate Affairs and PR Manager of BPCI that there are inconsistent document and statement between Venus and her mother.
"We found inconsistencies in their statements. Both Venus and her mother said she was born in Doha, Qatar, while yung na-submit nilang legal documents say she was born in the Philippines  We don't want din naman to give her family the pain of being in a situation like this. I'm sure Venus has nothing to do with this and we will find a way to deal with this problem,"

Tonight most of us will just have normal celebration without any funfare and without the most expensive food and gifts but what matters is that we celebrate it together with our family and love ones.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! May this Christmas bring more hope, peace and greater love to all of us. May this Christmas bring forth the compassion in our hearts to help the less privilege people specially those who suffer from hunger, abuse and war.

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion, is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

In Western Christianity, Easter marks the ending of Lent, a 40-day period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline in preparation for Easter. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. Eastern Orthodox churches observe Lent or Great Lent, during the 6 weeks or 40 days preceding Palm Sunday with fasting continuing during the Holy Week of Easter. Lent for Eastern Orthodox churches begins on Monday and Ash Wednesday is not observed.

Because of Easter's pagan origins, and also because of the commercialization of Easter, many Christian churches have begun to refer to it as Resurrection Day.

Lent, in Christian tradition, is the period of the liturgical year leading up to Easter. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer — through prayer, penitence, almsgiving and self-denial — for the annual commemoration during Holy Week of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus, which recalls the events linked to the Passion of Christ and culminates in Easter, the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

I'm inviting you guys to come and watch the Lenten Procession in Baliwag, Bulacan

“Lights off, It’s Earth Hour” On March 28, at 8:30 pm once again, the whole nation commemorates the Earth Hour. This environmental campaign, which started in 2007, is a call for all nations to save energy and to protect the Earth from it worsening condition through climate change.

Last year, it had gained so much support here in the Philippines of which almost a million had participated and as seen, 56 MWH of electric power in Luzon and 16 MWH in Metro Manila were saved. This year, Earth Hour is heaping for more support as it aims to reach one billion people in 1,000 cities all over the world.

Encompassing the same vision, the World Creative Youth Forum, an international Youth Forum endorsed by UNSECO, fully supports this environmental campaign. The WCYF focuses on Education for Sustainable Development which includes the promotion on the awareness towards supporting ways to lessen the effects and causes of climate change as well as to promote how important is individual action in sustainable development and how our actions affects others and the world.

WCYF call on its delegates, supporters and friends to fully support the Earth Hour 2009 and to do their contribution to this global action and statement on Climate Change. “We believe that this is a major step towards realizing a sustainable Earth in the years to come," David D’Angelo, WCYF Chairperson stressed.

Earth Hour 2009 is your call to step up and save the Mother Earth, by simply turning off your lights and other electrical appliances you had already helped. All it takes is an hour.
