In Manila, Philippines, according to Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) that there still 400,000 jobs available for Filipinos.

Some sectors were affected because of the financial crisis apparently some of them also open up a new business and opens the door to migrant workers. For example in Middle East, noted an increase in job orders in the construction industries because of the mega cities that are being built.

As of January 30, Labor Secretary Marianito Roque said that 5,404 overseas Filipino workers (OFW) have been displaced since October 2008. (Picture credits to: POEA)
