ABS-CBN Network is now officially announced their newest game show / variety show Pilipinas for the Win (PFTW)
Pilipinas for the Win starts on July 31, 2010, Saturday replacing Wowowee. It will be hosted by Kris Aquino, and Robin Padilla. Valerie Concepcion, Mariel Rodriguez and Pokwang are also included in the show.
Pilipinas for the Win will be headed by Director Johnny Manahan, the official director of the variety-game show together with Creative Director Bobot Mortiz, Business Unit Head Jay Montelibano, Executive Producers Phoebe Anievas and Rancy Recato.
Host Willie Revillame threaten ABS CBN network that he will going to resign as host of the noontime show Wowowee if the network will not fired Jobert Sucaldito, entertainment columnist and a segment host of The Buz.;
Last May 4, during his live episode in Wowowee, he released his sentiments and anger against Jobert Sucaldito.
Jobert started the issue last Sunday during his radio program in DZMM, owned by ABS-CBN. He questioned the noontime show Wowowee choosing students in high school who got 75 to 79 general average.
Host Willie Revillame and his network ABS-CBN agreed to extend Willie's indefinite leave in Wowowee until September 20, 2009
The said agreement was made in connection to the complaints filed by the MTRCB to the host and its show.
Here is the full official statement send by ABS-CBN: In the interest of self-regulation, ABS-CBN has availed of the conciliation process under Section 6, Rule 7, of the MTRCB Rules of Procedures, regarding the incidents involving Mr. Willie Revillame in the Program Wowowee. After having considered the facts, issues and terms of self-regulation to be imposed in the pertinent cases, the MTRCB has approved the same.
"WHEREOF, the ABS-CBN shall undertake to perform the following: 1. Extend Mr. Revillame's leave until 20 September 2009, and 2. Remove the present dance segment of Luningning and Saicy.
"FURTHER, ABS-CBN reiterates that it is fully aware of its legal and moral responsibilities as a broadcaster and shall undertake to continue to uphold the values and customs of the Filipino viewing public."
Willie Revillame is suspended from his show Wowowee until September 29.
A text message received by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) late afternoon from someone who identified as a "reliable source" close to the host. Here is the text message received by PEP, in full: "ABS-CBN and MTRCB are coming up with a statement saying that ABS will suspend Willie until the 29th of September. This is unacceptable to Willie because it implies he was guilty of something. His Kapamilya did not take care of a member of the family. So Willie is now inclined to tell ABS that he won't be back at all and is ready to leave ABS."
However, when PEP checked it,the said suspension and leaving the network (ABS-CBN)is not yet confirmed at all.
Willie's legal counsel filed and submit a counter affidavit to the court.
MTRCB or Movie and Television Review and Classification Board attended the last hearing on the case they filed against Wowowee's TV Host Willie Revillame last Thursday, August 20, 2009
Willie Revillame together with his legal counsel, ABS-CBN's legal team and Johnny Manahan also attended the hearing.
According to Atty. Armando Marcelo, legal counsel of Willie, they have already submitted a counter affidavits to the complaint and other clarificatory questions.
According also to Atty. Zosimo Alegre, legal counsel of the MTRCB, says that the clarificatory hearing that was conducted, it did not mean that any evidence had been provided. It's a matter of personal views and positions. MTRCB filed a complaint against Willie in accordance with Section 3-C of Presidential Decree 1996 for being objectionable and contrary to customs and traditions in paying respect to the dead
On the other hand, Willie will also face charges and attend another hearing relevant to the issue conducted by the KBP or Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster sa Pilipinas.
Five days after interment of former President Cory Aquino, her youngest daughter Kris Aquino back to work in his SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon) yesterday August 10 and speak up regarding Willie Revillame's issues and her plans in the future. Kris said during her SNN airing, that Willie talked to her and had a conversation but it's vague meaning not clear at all. So Friday the Aquino family watched the full video in Youtube. She also said that during that time they are in midst of arranging and organizing all the things of their mom together with his Ate Ballsy and Ate Pinky in Times Street.
Willie asked Kris if he can talked to the other members of the family. Pinky is the first one who talked to Willie. He asked an apology and Pinky accepted it and told Willie that maybe others won't understand it because of the way you said it but we understand your situation. Pinky said also " As far as I am concerned Willie, it's finished, let's move on. Okay, we accept your apology.'
Again, Sunday August 9 Willie send message to Kris and asked for another meeting to the Aquino family. So Kris decided that her Ate Ballsy is the perfect one to talked to Willie because she is the eldest of the family. She gave her phone to Ate Ballsy. He said sorry again and again and explained everything to Ballsy. Likewise Ballsy said
Willie, as far is our family is concerned, we are already accepted your apology. We are not MTRCB. We are not ABS-CBN. We are not KBP. But we are the Aquino family. And for our family, we take Willie's apology for what it is—an apology. And we accept the apology.
Because of Willie's "arrogant" in national television, MTRCB chairwoman Consoliza Laguardia said Willie Revillame violated Sec. 3 of Presidential Decree 1986.
In my personal view, Willie’s action was objectionable because he can say those things off camera. He violated the broadcast code of ethics of the KBP and for the part of MTCRB, he violated Sec. 3 of PD 1986, by being objectionable and contrary to good customs and tradition.
Last Monday, Revillame told his network's management to remove the video of Mrs. Aquino’s cortege aired simultaneously in an inset frame on TV screens. The video of the transfer of Cory's body to the Manila Cathedral was removed from his show moments later.
The day after, Revillame apologized publicly through Wowowee and clarified that he had no intentions when he sought the removal of the insets.
Teach him a lesson according to the two media organization who expressed dismayed over Revillame's "arrogant".

Last Monday, August 3 during the Wowowee, host Willie Revillame's remark was seen on national television
The group Alyansa ng Filipinong Mamamahayag (AFIMA) condemned Willie's "arrogance" in his show referring to the multi-split of Cory Aquino's burial in television. The group also demand that the MTRCB (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board) should give William a "hardest lesson"
The group was reacting to Willie's comment during the segment "Willie of Fortune". ABS-CBN decided to insert a live video of the special coverage of the transfer of Aquino's remains while simultaneously airing the popular noontime show. Because of distraction running in his show, Willie tremendously and demanded the removal of the live clip.

Many viewers outburst their reaction towards the host stating that the host is "rude and insensitive"
The AFIMA's statement mirrors the same observation:
"HE HAS BEEN AT IT NOT ONCE BUT IN COUNTLESS TIMES! His show is so popular that any bad thing he does is mistaken for a fad or 'alright' by the young. Misdemeanors to him are the general rule, good manners are the exception.
"He was caught by millions of viewers in an act as if he was cheating on his prize-giving game. He was heard several times by several millions utter words without regard to repercussions. He does not care for others. He does not care for his country. He does not care for women. He only cares for his ego.
"His is arrogance and greed. What he wants is what he gets. He does not mind the dozens killed in chasing false dreams he created as a culture of his own.
"So many times he has been in it. Yet in no time has he been called to repent. He is sacred even as he desecrates. Every time he does one, he gets bolder.
"We have forgiven him when he did a trick on a prize-giving event. We have forgiven him in countless pasts. This latest caper is already too much. He is already desecrating the symbol of the nation, the symbol of democracy, the "Saint of People Power."
"For him to demand the removal of the little window screen showing the funeral march of the woman who got ABS-CBN back from Marcos is a blasphemy of democracy, an act despicable as him fucking his own mother.
"He may have the right to demand it, but he never waited until the next commercial break to quietly do it. He expressed his angst against Corazon Aquino funeral being shown side by side his "Wowowee" right before the dumbstruck millions of Filipino viewers around the globe.
"For this, Alyansa ng Filipinong Mamamahayag (AFIMA) demands in the strongest terms for the Movie and Televisions Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to give him the hardest lesson for him to learn."
Revillame tried to explained his side and not intended to disrespect the memory of Cory Aquino.
"In Willie Revillame's show yesterday, dey wr showin a clip of Cory's motorcade sa inset. He suddenly freaks out on air & says "Ano ba yan!!! Kung gusto nyo pakita yan, yan na lang. Kung ako, ako lang. Nagsasaya kmi d2 sa show na 2. Ayusin nyo yan!(") It was disrespectful. Jus d other day hs boss Gabby Lopez profusely thankd Cory 4givin dem bak ABS-CBN. now Willie shuns her! Wat a disgrace! Pls pass so others wud kno."
Above is the forwarded text message received by PEP condemning Willie Revillame's action during his airing in Woweee last August 3 regarding the split and simultaneously coverage of Cory's burial motorcade to Manila Cathedral and his show Wowweee. In the middle of his show, Willie asked ABS-CBN staff to remove the live coverage in not "good manner" situation.
Willie explained his side regarding the issue, he said that "how will they enjoy the show if they know that Cory's burial coverage and Wowowee are highly contradicting to each other" I hope they understand me!"
He also asked apology to Charo Santos for his actuation.
