Controversial sexy actress Katrina Halili was very excited upon hearing the news that "Magdusa Ka", a sine-novela drama series aired in GMA Dramarama sa Hapon together with Dennis Trillo was nominated for Best Telenovela.  The other three nominees are:  Kahit Isang Saglit (A Time For Us) ng ABS-CBN. Ang iba pang nominees ay India: A Love Story (Brazil) at Second Chance (France).

According to Katrina, Magdusa Ka is very special to her because it the first time she leads the role.

The event will be held on November 23 in New York.  Katrina is praying and hoping that Emmy Awards invites them.

Hot-alluring sexy goddess Cristine Reyes went to South Korea to received personally the Special Prize for Eva Fonda when she attended the Seoul International Drama Awards last September 11 at Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea.

Cristine was photographed on the red carpet wearing a metallic brown dress with a high slit.  She was nominated along with other candidates: Christiane Horbiger, The Visit —Ziegler Film, Germany; Lindsay Duncan, Margaret—BBC Worldwide Limited, UK; Charlotte Frogner, Maria—Rubicon TV, Norway; Geun-young Moon, The Painter of Wind—SBS, Korea; and Shu Chen, Love in a Fallen City—Zhejiang Huace, China.

Cristine's show, Eva Fonda, bagged the Special Prize, beating the following programs: Token—IRIB Media Trade, Iran; Fathers and Sons—TV channel Russia, Russia; Britannia High—ITV Global Entertainment Ltd, UK; Fighting Spiders—MediaCorp TV (S) Pte Ltd, Singapore; and Forbidden Love—Calinos Entertainment, Turkey.

Last September 4, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board or MTRCB unveiled their 1st MTRCB Awards at Gateway Cinema 5 Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

The awards night was conceptualized to commend all television programs that show their best and embodied the group's standard as a guiding principle by its vision and principles.

According to the MTRCB Chairperson Consoliza Laguardia, she is hoping and encouraging all networks especially in showbiz industry that they must come up with shows that are not just entertaining but also portray a good values to the viewers.

The awards night studded by different faces in showbiz, arts and literature like Ms. Gloria Romero, Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Michael V, Sunshine Dizon, Geoff Eigenmann, Ogie Alcasid, Charice Pempengco, Jennylyn Mercado, Rhian Ramos, Zaijian Jaranilla, Michelle Madrigal, Mark Herras, Jessica Soho, Ces Drilon, Julius Babao, Jessica Soho, Isabel Oli, Jojo Alejar, Valerie Concepcion, Jackie Aquino, Gladys Reyes, Bianca Gonzales, Pooh, among many others.

Watson Company announced in their awards night that Yes! Magazine was chosen as the Best Magazine of the Year based on the sales value from June 2008 till April 2009.

Jo-Ann Maglipon, editor-in-chief of Yes! said that they are very thankful that Watson chose them even though she knows that Watson has so many important concerns to deal with especially in beauty industry.

She also promised that they will do everything to make Yes! even more better to read on. Yes! is now available in leading bookstore and supermarket even in my shop!
