Starting February 21, 2010, 24 Oras will now air seven days a week.
24 Oras Weekend will be anchored by news producer Jiggy Manicad and anchor-reporter Pia Archangel.
Manicad's edge and added value to the newscast—his many foreign assignments to include Afghanistan, Israel (Gaza), Iraq, Lebanon, the evacuation of Filipinos from Syria, Iran, the US elections and Inauguration of Barack Obama, Garduce's historic climb to the summit of Mt. Everest, and the humanitarian effort in Haiti following the catastrophic quake—on top of fifteen years in the profession.
