Filipino actor and television personality Johnny Delgado has passed away at about 1:20pm Philippine Time. He died due to complications from his lymphoma or cancer of the lymph nodes which was diagnosed in 2008. Delgado was a very prominent and good actor whose latest appearances includes Star Cinema’s You Got Me opposite Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby and television roles in GMA 7's Kamandag and ABS-CBN’s Maria Flordeluna and May Bukas Pa.
Johny Delgado had been part of about 80 projects the earliest of which was in "Bawat Kanto Basagulo" in 1968 and the last was as the voice actor of Carpio in Dayo, a 2008 film.

He was also part of an independent film which literally tells more about his ordeal with cancer in Labing-Labing. The film is about an elderly couple who copes with cancer. The relationship that has developed between them and bonded them through the years—with all its quirks, imperfections, hurts, joys and triumphs—is what it takes to sustain them through this hardest of trials. It is a love story that shows how—at the end of their shared lifes journey—it is really each other that they can depend on.
